The Vineyard (Terroir)

The vineyard of Château Tour Saint-Christophe spans 23 hectares. It is situated on the Cassevert hillside, overlooking the combe of Saint Laurent. The clay-limestone soils are characterised by red clay resting on Asteria limestone with a carbonate profile. Averaging around thirty years of age, the vines are cultivated on historic south/south-west-facing dry-stone terraces, meticulously tended in high-density rows.

Flagship Cuvées

The estate's principal wine is Château Tour Saint-Christophe, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. It is complemented by a second wine, Les Terrasses de Saint Christophe, also produced as a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru.

Vinification and Ageing

The cellars at Château Tour Saint-Christophe were renovated in 2015. Vinification is carried out using integral barrel fermentation, with maceration on skins lasting around thirty days. The wines undergo ageing in oak barrels, with 30% to 40% new oak, over a period of 15 to 18 months. Approximately 25% of the harvest is vinified directly in Bordeaux barrels.
