The history of Château Couhins-Lurton dates back to the late 17th century, with the Blanchereau and Hanappier families among its historical owners. In 1959, its white wines were classified as Cru Classé de Graves. André Lurton initially leased the estate in 1967, subsequently purchasing the vineyards in 1972 and the château in 1992. The estate is also actively committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
