Identity
Château Trigant is located in Villenave-d'Ornon, in the heart of the Gironde département. The estate has been owned by the Sèze family since 1860.
History and philosophy
The chartreuse of Château Trigant was built in the 18th century by Philippe Trigant, then a barrister at the Parlement de Bordeaux. The Sèze family acquired the estate in 1860. Following the devastating frost of 1956, the vineyards were replanted starting in 1989. In 2021, the estate embarked on conversion to organic farming, guided by the Derenoncourt consultancy team. The estate has also branched out into hosting private and corporate events.
The appellations
Château Trigant produces wines under the Pessac-Léognan appellation. References to the Graves and Sauternes appellations are also associated with the estate.
