Les dégâts de la grêle
Le président de la Chambre d'agriculture, Bernard Artigue, accompagné de plusieurs conseillers viticoles, s'est rendu au château Courtade-Dubuc pour évaluer les dégâts causés par un orage de grêle survenu lundi soir dans le vignoble de l'Entre-deux-Mers. La visite avait pour objectif d'apporter des premiers conseils aux viticulteurs sinistrés. Hubert Daron, viticulteur du château Courtade-Dubuc, a décrit l'arrivée inhabituelle de l'orage par le nord-est, avec des grêlons de plus d'un centimètre de diamètre suivis d'un rideau de petits pois qui a recouvert le sol sur deux à trois centimètres pendant vingt minutes, sans vent ni pluie, puis 35 mm de pluie. Les dégâts, très localisés sur une bande d'environ 500 mètres de large, ont impacté 90 % de la superficie d'Hubert Daron, avec des pertes estimées à 50 %. Les feuilles ont été fortement touchées, et un traitement est nécessaire pour cicatriser les plaies et prévenir les maladies. Bien qu'Hubert Daron ne soit pas assuré pour ce type de dégâts, Bernard Artigue a souligné l'importance de l'assurance. Des mesures compensatoires (CMD grêle, achat de vendange, dégrèvement d'impôt foncier) pourront être proposées après une expertise plus précise dans un mois. La délégation a également visité d'autres communes affectées comme Cérons, Budos, Bommes et Sauternes.
