History and Philosophy
The history of Château Gloria began in the late 1930s with Henri Martin. Born in 1903 at Château Gruaud-Larose, Henri Martin, the son of a cooper, founded the estate by gradually acquiring various parcels. The name "Château Gloria" was officially registered in 1942. In 1981, the estate also acquired Château Saint-Pierre. The Martin family's winemaking tradition dates back nearly 300 years. The estate is committed to environmental certification and will be certified organic starting with the 2024 vintage. It also holds the Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification.
