Château Saint-Pierre
Updated on
Château Saint-Pierre is a 4e Cru Classé estate in Saint-Julien, owned by the Triaud family. Committed to HVE and Bio viticulture, its 17 hectares of gravel soils produce wines dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon.

Identity
Château Saint-Pierre is a winegrowing estate located in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, in the Gironde. It is ranked as a Quatrième Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. The Triaud family are the current owners, with Jean-Louis Triaud and Vanessa Triaud as co-managers. Consultant oenologist Éric Boissenot and cellar master Philippe Blanchard oversee the crafting of the wines.
History and philosophy
The estate's roots, then known as Serançan, date back to the late 17th century. In 1767, Baron Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Pierre became the owner, giving the property its current name. The estate subsequently experienced a history marked by successive divisions and reunifications. In the early 1980s, Henri Martin acquired the estate and oversaw its reconstitution in 1982—a milestone considered the rebirth of the property. Château Saint-Pierre is committed to sustainable winegrowing, as reflected by the HVE and Bio certifications achieved in 2024.
Appellations
The parcels of Château Saint-Pierre are located within the Saint-Julien appellation.
Winemaking and ageing
The wines are aged in oak barrels for 14 to 16 months, with 50% new wood. Annual production stands at around 65,000 bottles.
