History and philosophy
Château Guadet has been a family-owned estate since 1844, when the Lignac family acquired it. Seven generations have succeeded one another at the helm of the property. The château's name originates from the Guadet family, notably Élie Guadet. The estate was renamed Château Guadet in 2005, having previously been known as Guadet Saint-Julien. Committed to environmentally friendly viticulture, the estate has been certified organic since January 2012 and biodynamic since 2011. The garden at Château Guadet is also registered as an LPO bird sanctuary.
