History and philosophy
The history of Château Hanteillan dates back to the Middle Ages, when the vineyard was managed by the monks of the Abbaye de Vertheuil. In 1179, it was mentioned in a papal bull issued by Pope Alexander III. In 1809, Antoinette-Rose de Lapeyrière had the château and cellars built.
Catherine Blasco's father acquired the estate in the early 1970s, specifically in 1973. Catherine Blasco took over the management of the estate in 1984, becoming a self-taught winemaker. The estate embarked on an environmental approach in 2012, achieving HVE3 certification.
