Château Lafon, also known as Château Raymond-Lafon, is a family-owned winegrowing estate situated in the commune of Sauternes, in Gironde. It has been owned by the Meslier family since 1972.

History and philosophy

The Meslier family began production at Château Raymond-Lafon in 1972. The château's façade underwent a colour change in 2000. In parallel, Château Lafon-Rochet was acquired by the Tesseron family in 1960. Today, it is managed by Basile Tesseron and owned by Michel Tesseron and Caroline Poniatowska. The latter estate is classified as a 4e cru classé.
