Château Le Thil, formerly known as Château Le Thil Comte Clary, was acquired in 2012 by Florence and Daniel Cathiard. This acquisition comprised 11.6 hectares of adjoining vines. The estate benefits from the expertise of the technical team at Château Smith Haut Lafitte. Château du Thil, along with its parkland, has been listed as a Historic Monument since 2015. The historic property is said to date back to 1830, with the current château altered around 1800. The estate promotes a working philosophy centred on Bio-Précision viticulture.

PAS À PAS SUR LES GRAVES (6) : LES CARMES INTRAMUROS
Cet article, sixième d'une série dédiée aux Graves et Pessac-Léognan, explore le Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, une propriété unique située "intramuros" à Bordeaux. Il relate l'acquisition du domaine par Patrice Pichet pour un montant record de 18 millions d'euros, déjouant les ambitions du Château Haut-Brion voisin. M. Pichet, à la tête d'un groupe immobilier florissant, a étendu son vignoble en achetant des terres au Château Le Thil à Léognan et à Haut Nouchet à Martillac, donnant naissance à un second vin, le Clos des Carmes Haut-Brion.
