The Vineyard (Terroir)

The Château Saint-Jean vineyard covers an area of 3 hectares. The soils are predominantly clay-limestone. The average age of the vines is 45 years. The grape varieties planted comprise 80% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Flagship Cuvées

Château Saint-Jean crafts red wines. The average annual production is 200 hectolitres. Harvesting is carried out both by hand and mechanically.

Vinification and Ageing

Vinification takes place in concrete and stainless steel vats. Ageing is carried out 99% in vats.
