Château Tour Baladoz is a winegrowing estate located in the commune of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes. It belongs to the De Schepper family, with Hélène De Schepper as owner. The estate joined the Grand Cru Classé classification in 2022.

History and philosophy

The estate's origins date back to an initial mention of "Valados" in 1841, followed by "Baladoz" in 1868. In 1920, the property was named Château Tour Baladoz. The De Schepper family acquired it in 1950. Château Tour Baladoz is committed to environmental certification, having achieved Level 3 HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification in 2017.

The wines of Château Tour Baladoz are produced under the AOC Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation.

The vineyard (terroir)

The vineyard of Château Tour Baladoz covers an area of approximately 7.88 hectares, planted primarily on clay-limestone soils. The grape varieties are dominated by Merlot (77%), complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), Cabernet Franc (7%), and Petit Verdot (6%).

Signature cuvées

The estate's flagship cuvée is Château Tour Baladoz, a red wine produced under the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. This is a still wine crafted without dosage.
