History and philosophy
The history of Vignobles Turtaut began in 1890. In the 1950s, André Turtaut, formerly a cellar hand, played a pivotal role in the estate's development. Today, Patrice and Sébastien Turtaut carry on this family tradition as the fourth generation of winegrowers.
The estate has embraced an environmentally friendly approach, with its entire wine production certified organic since 2022. This philosophy also includes the preservation of woodlands, meadows, and ponds within its vineyard environment. The estate is also ISO 14001 certified.

The vineyard (terroir)
The vineyard of Vignobles Turtaut spans 30 hectares. The soils are clay-limestone as well as gravel. The predominant grape variety is Merlot, covering 22 hectares. The vineyard is located in Entre-Deux-Mers, more precisely in Saint-Sulpice-de-Pommiers, near Sauveterre-de-Guyenne.
Flagship cuvées
Among the wines produced by Vignobles Turtaut is the CHÂTEAU JANY cuvée, a still white wine from the Barsac appellation. The estate also offers a range of organic red wines. A dedicated cuvée is crafted from 100% Malbec. The 2018 vintage in AOC Bordeaux Supérieur was featured as an En Primeur selection.
