History and philosophy
The Bourrigaud family has been cultivating vines at Château Champion since the 18th century, passing down their expertise from generation to generation. The acquisition of Château Haute-Terrasse dates back to 1999. The estate has committed to organic viticulture, with conversion initiated in 2018. The first vintage certified as organic farming is 2021.

Tours of the vinification and ageing cellars, followed by tastings, are offered. Véronique Bourrigaud, a qualified tour guide, accompanies visitors. Château Champion provides a variety of wine tourism activities, including nature and wine walks, sensory workshops, treasure hunts, gourmet lunches (vine-shoot barbecues and burgers), and live concerts. The individual tour fee is €8 per person.
The estate provides facilities such as disabled access (PRM), parking, and accepts pets. It also offers on-site accommodation and arranges international shipping. Payment by credit card, cash, and cheque is accepted. Château Champion is closed for the end-of-year holidays from 21 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 inclusive.
