History and philosophy
The Bouyer family took over the estate in 1999. The property is committed to sustainable practices certified by Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE).
Appellations
The estate produces wines under the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru and Pomerol appellations. Several vineyard plots in Saint-Émilion are situated on the clay-limestone plateau and slopes of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes and Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse. The Pomerol plot, acquired in 2010, covers 56 ares.

The vineyard spans a total area of 18 hectares. The average age of the vines is around 45 years. The estate's soils are diverse, comprising clay-limestone, silica-gravel, clay-silica, and silica-clay terroirs, along with gravel and iron pan (crasse de fer). The red grape vineyard accounts for 18 hectares and the white grape vineyard covers 1 hectare. The red grape varieties consist of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. The white grape variety is 100% Sauvignon Gris. Harvesting is carried out both by hand and mechanically.
Flagship cuvées
The estate produces several cuvées. Château Milon, in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, is crafted from grapes grown on clay-gravel soils. It is aged in concrete vats and large oak casks (foudres).
The cuvée Caprice du Château Milon is a Saint-Émilion made from 100% Merlot and aged for 8 months in concrete vats.
Clos de la Cure, also a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, comes from clay-limestone soils. The blend is typically 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, with ageing carried out in selected oak barrels.
Clos 56, in the Pomerol appellation, comes from a 56-are plot characterised by silica-gravel soils over clay. This wine is predominantly Merlot, with ageing lasting up to eighteen months in oak barrels, half of which are new.
Since 2022, the estate has developed a range of single-vineyard wines, notably including:
- Milon – Les Cabanes, a 100% Merlot from gravelly soils, aged in lightly toasted blonde oak barrels.
- La Cure – Bouchet, a 100% Cabernet Franc sourced from clay-limestone soils.
- La Cure – Le Bourg, from a 2-hectare plot on clay-limestone soils, blended from 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc.
The estate also produces a white wine, Cap Hardi N°1, under the Bordeaux appellation, crafted from 100% Sauvignon Gris grown on limestone soils in the Entre-deux-Mers.
Vinification and ageing
Ageing for the red wines varies according to the cuvée. It takes place in concrete vats, large oak casks, selected oak barrels, or barriques, with durations and proportions of new oak tailored to each wine.
