History and philosophy
The estate's history began with Septime Cecchini, who acquired the first parcels in 1935. Initially, the vineyard spanned 4 hectares. In 1985, Gino Cecchini took over the family winegrowing estate. Independent vinification began in 1989. Today, Château La Hourcade is committed to sustainable viticulture and is certified Haute Valeur Environnementale. The estate also practises biodynamics and is a member of the Vignerons Indépendants de France.
