History and philosophy

The estate is set in a 17th- and 18th-century chartreuse manor house. Originally founded by Freylon, Château Lassègue was taken over by the Jackson and Seillan families in 2003. The estate was classified as Grand Cru Classé in 2022.

Winemaking and ageing

Malolactic fermentation takes place in vats. Barreling down takes place in January. Ageing is carried out in oak barrels, each marked with the forest of origin and the specific toasting protocol. In 2013, 50% new oak was used. Annual production is approximately 48,000 bottles. The yield in 2013 was 35 hl/ha.
