Fertilisation is sustainable and tailored, based on soil and foliar analyses. Soil management includes mechanical weed control beneath the vine rows, with cover crops planted in every second row, while the alternating row is left under natural grass cover and maintained through mowing or mulching.

Mauperier - La Vie de Château
This red wine displays a ruby hue and offers a complex nose combining dark fruit aromas (blackcurrant, blackberry) and red fruit notes (cherry), enhanced by subtle hints of spice. On the palate, it is dense and coating, with a lingering finish and seamless, velvety tannins. It offers an ageing potential of over 10 years. The recommended serving temperature is 16 to 18°C. The blend consists of 94% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Malbec.

Vinification and ageing

Castillon-la-Bataille : Le « Vache’ment vin » a célébré ses six ans d’existence
La cave Vache’ment vin, située à Castillon-la-Bataille, a récemment célébré son sixième anniversaire. L'événement principal s'est déroulé le samedi 29 mars, marquant le point culminant d'une semaine de festivités. À cette occasion, l'enseigne a accueilli près de deux cents personnes, venues pour des dégustations locales et pour découvrir une nouvelle offre. Cinq vignobles ont participé à l'événement, permettant aux visiteurs de déguster une sélection de leurs cuvées. Les domaines présents incluaient le Château Mauperier, le Domaine de Cauffour, les vignobles Fontana, le Château Lamartine et la Maison Deljoy. En plus des vins, une brûlerie a également proposé ses produits. L'anniversaire a également été l'occasion pour Vache’ment vin de lancer une nouvelle gamme de pintxos, des tapas conçus pour s'accorder avec les vins de la boutique. Ces pintxos, composés de produits locaux et servis sur du pain de la boulangerie Troël de Castillon-la-Bataille, seront renouvelés chaque semaine avec trois à quatre variétés différentes. Cette initiative vise à offrir une expérience culinaire complémentaire à la sélection de vins.
