Château Trimoulet is a winegrowing estate located in the commune of Saint-Émilion, in the Gironde. It is currently under the stewardship of Cécile Jean, with the Jean family as owners. The estate is also managed by Joël and Alain Appollot, while David Dumont serves as cellar master and vineyard manager.

History and Philosophy

Château Trimoulet was established in 1802. It is owned by the Appollot family, who represent the sixth generation at the helm of the estate. The property is committed to environmental certification through Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) and applies sustainable viticulture methods across its vineyard.

The estate's parcels are situated within the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation.

The Vineyard (Terroir)

The Château Trimoulet vineyard extends over an area of 17 hectares. The soils are clay and clay-limestone. The grape variety distribution consists of 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvesting is carried out either mechanically or by hand.

Flagship Cuvées

Château Trimoulet produces several cuvées, including Château Clos Trimoulet Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. This red wine typically offers an authentic expression of its terroir and appellation. The estate also crafts Plaisir Rosé de Trimoulet.
