The Vineyard (Terroir)
The Château Veyry vineyard covers an area of 4 hectares. It is established on clay-limestone soils and benefits from a south-facing exposure on a hillside overlooking the Dordogne.
The grape varieties are predominantly Merlot (90%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (10%). The average age of the vines is around 35 years. Vineyard yields are estimated at between 30 and 35 hectolitres per hectare. Harvesting is carried out by hand.
