Clos des Baies was founded in 2006. Philippe Baillarguet, its current manager, gained winegrowing experience as cellar master at Château Ausone and also worked at Château Beauséjour Bécot from 1989. The estate is committed to a viticultural approach incorporating organic and biodynamic principles, without official certification.

The Clos des Baies vineyard covers a total area of 0.88 hectares. Part of this surface, acquired in 2010, represents 0.92 hectares, complemented by 0.30 hectares leased under tenancy agreements since 2006. A 58-are plot is situated in Saint-Laurent-de-Combes, on clay-limestone soils. The estate also has 33 ares on sandy soils. The average age of the vines exceeds 40 years, and the vineyard enjoys full south-facing exposure. The main grape variety grown is Merlot. Yields are kept below 30 hectolitres per hectare.

The estate's flagship cuvée is Clos des Baies, a red wine made predominantly from Merlot. Average annual production is around 1,500 bottles.
