The Clos des Jacobins vineyard covers an area of 8.5 hectares planted with red grape varieties. The blend of grape varieties consists predominantly of Merlot (75%), Cabernet Franc (23%), and a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon. The average age of the vines is 30 years. The soils are clay-limestone. Harvesting is carried out by hand.
Flagship cuvées
The estate's main wine is Clos des Jacobins. This still red wine displays a beautiful dark red hue with vibrant highlights. The nose is precise and fresh, offering aromas of dark berries, liquorice, and fresh oak. On the palate, it reveals nuances of ripe fruit. Delicate on the attack, it becomes fleshy on the mid-palate with well-integrated tannins, delivering a harmonious and elegant profile. Another cuvée produced is Réserve des Jacobins.
Vinification and ageing
The wines are aged in vats and oak barrels. Harvesting is manual.
