The Vineyard (Terroir)

The vineyard spans 3.5 hectares across a limestone plateau. The grape varieties grown are Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay. Viticultural practices rely on traditional manual vineyard work, including leaf thinning, Cordon de Royat pruning, and soil aeration. The estate is also undertaking a long-term replanting programme for its old vines.

Flagship Cuvées

The estate produces its flagship wine, Clos Dubreuil Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion, a red wine crafted to maintain a sense of balance and elegance while gaining in purity and precision. A confidential Chardonnay cuvée, named Clos Dubreuil Dubreuil Chardonnay, is also crafted.

Vinification and Ageing

Harvesting involves meticulous grape selection, beginning with an initial sorting in the vineyard, a second on a vibrating sorting table, and a final selection after destemming. Vinification is parcel by parcel and takes place in an entirely gravity-fed cellar, where the harvest is transferred into vats strictly by gravity, without pumping, crushing, or mechanical stress.
