Clos Lardit

Identity

Clos Lardit is a winegrowing estate located in Barsac, in Gironde. It is owned by Florian de Perre.

History and philosophy

Clos Lardit was acquired by Florian de Perre in 2012. The estate has since committed to organic viticulture, with official conversion beginning in 2023.

Appellations

Clos Lardit produces wines under the Graves and Barsac appellations. A cuvée is also crafted under the Bordeaux appellation.

The estate offers cellar-door sales and organises visits. Clos Lardit is located at 2 lieu-dit Lardit, 33720 Barsac.

The vineyard (terroir)

The Clos Lardit vineyard originally covered an area of approximately 0.90 hectares in the Graves appellation. Plots in the Barsac appellation are also farmed under lease, accounting for around 2 hectares. In 2024, new plantings were established across approximately 0.65 hectares, featuring grape varieties such as Malbec and Cabernet. The estate is also working on top-grafting Cabernet and, potentially, Carménère. Grape varieties planted from massal selections include Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle. Vineyard management is carried out in accordance with organic farming principles.

Flagship cuvées

Clos Lardit Graves Rouge

This red wine is crafted from a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 30% Malbec. The 2022 vintage is available.

Clos Lardit Graves Blanc

This white wine is made from 100% Sémillon. One-third of the ageing is carried out in new 300-litre barrels, with malolactic fermentation completed. The 2022 and 2023 vintages are available.

Clos Lardit Barsac

Clos Lardit Barsac is a sweet wine crafted exclusively from Sémillon. The inaugural vintage is 2024. It has around 75 grams of residual sugar and an alcohol by volume of 13.5%.

Vinification and ageing

For the Graves blanc, ageing is partially carried out in new barrels, and malolactic fermentation is completed. The Barsac is vinified with an approach designed to keep sulphites and sugars to a minimum.
