History and philosophy

The Derichebourg family acquired the estate's first parcels in 2018. Committed to environmentally friendly practices, Domaine de Bourgie obtained organic certification in 2019. Construction of a new cellar began in 2024, with opening scheduled during 2025.

The wines of Domaine de Bourgie are produced under the Pessac-Léognan Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée.

The vineyard (terroir)

The Domaine de Bourgie vineyard covers a total surface area of 14.5 hectares. Of this, 13.80 hectares are dedicated to red grape varieties and 0.7 hectares are planted with white grape varieties. The vineyard has been farmed organically since 2019.

The red grape varieties comprise 40% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon. The white grape plantings consist of 10% Sauvignon.
