The Vineyard (Terroir)

Flagship Cuvées

The estate produces the cuvée « Château Bégot », a red wine crafted primarily from Merlot (85%), blended with Cabernet Franc (5%), Cabernet Sauvignon (5%), and Malbec (5%). This wine features a structure that reflects both the blend of grape varieties and the attributes of its terroir.

Another cuvée is crafted under the name « Fleur de Bégot », also a still red wine in the Côtes de Bourg AOC.

Vinification and Ageing

For the « Château Bégot » cuvée, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in barrels, and subsequent barrel ageing. Other cuvées may be aged in tanks.
