The Château d'Arcins vineyard was established at the beginning of the 14th century, around 1300, by the Knights Templar commandery. The estate was acquired by the Castel family in 1971. That same year, the property built a distinctive circular vinification cellar.

The Vineyard (Terroir)
The vineyard spans a single block of 101 hectares, with a high planting density exceeding 9,000 vines per hectare and reaching up to 9,600 vines per hectare. The soils consist of gravel in the northern part of the estate and more clay-rich, as well as clay-limestone, terroirs to the south. Merlot is primarily grown on the clay soils, while Cabernet Sauvignon thrives on the gravelly soils. Grape varieties planted include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Committed to an environmentally responsible approach, the estate earned Terra Vitis certification in 2018 and practises sustainable viticulture.

The estate's grand vin is Château d'Arcins, classified as a Cru Bourgeois. The blend is composed of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon.
