History and philosophy
Winegrowing at Château de Monbazan dates back more than 400 years. The estate committed to organic viticulture as early as 1963, an approach officially formalised with Vignerons Bio certification in 2007.
Appellations
Château de Monbazan produces red wines under the Graves Rouge appellation, as well as white wines under the Graves appellation.
Winemaking and ageing
Harvesting is carried out mechanically for red grape varieties and by hand for white grape varieties. Maceration lasts between 15 and 21 days. Selected wines undergo 12 months of barrel ageing. Julie is the estate's cellar master.
