Château de Roquebrune is a family-owned winegrowing estate located in the commune of Lalande-de-Pomerol, in Gironde. Owned by the Guinjard family since 1880, it is currently managed by Florent Guinjard, representing the fifth generation. The Guinjard family holds a 90% stake in the estate.
History and philosophy
The Guinjard family acquired its first plots in 1880, marking the beginning of their commitment to the vineyard. The estate bottled its first wines in 1970 under the guidance of Claude Guinjard. In 2002, Florent Guinjard took over the management of Château de Roquebrune. A modernisation of the cellar facilities took place in 2009 with the installation of temperature-controlled vats.
The philosophy at Château de Roquebrune emphasises authenticity, conviviality, and quality. Viticultural practices focus on sustainable winegrowing, including soil tillage to limit chemical weedkillers, mechanical weeding, and reasoned vineyard protection. Treatments using organic and biocontrol products have also been implemented.

The estate produces notably the Château de Roquebrune cuvée. This red wine, crafted predominantly from Merlot, displays aromas of red fruit, particularly morello cherries, delivering an elegant, refined, and generous profile. It is characterised by minimal or no oak ageing, prioritising the pure expression of the fruit.
The "Cuvée Reine" from Château de Roquebrune is also a red wine. Historically, it has been crafted from 100% Merlot and aged in vats. These wines are generally served at 17 °C.
