Château Le Boscq is a winegrowing estate located in the commune of Saint-Estèphe. It has been owned by Vignobles Dourthe since 2022, following a leasehold arrangement that began in 1995. Frédéric Bonnaffous is the estate manager. The property is classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.

History and philosophy

The estate's origins date back to the construction of a building in 1890. Prior to Dourthe's acquisition in 2022, the estate belonged, at least in part, to Thomas Barton in 1855. The final acquisition by Dourthe took place on 29 April 2017. A renovation programme for the residence is currently underway, and the construction of a new vat room is planned to facilitate plot-by-plot vinification.

Signature wines

The estate produces red wines under the Saint-Estèphe appellation. From 2012 onwards, the wines display a sleeker, more refined profile. The 2018, 2019, and 2020 vintages have been particularly acclaimed.
