Identity
Château Les Arromans is a winegrowing estate located in Moulon, in the Gironde department. It is owned by Joël Duffau, representing the ninth generation of winemakers in his family.
History and philosophy
The estate was founded in 1965 by Jean and Sylvette Duffau. The first bottle was released onto the market in 1970. Joël Duffau took over the management in 1999.
Château Les Arromans is committed to an eco-friendly approach aimed at reducing its environmental footprint. The estate began its conversion to organic farming in 2009. Practices include the use of naturally sourced inputs, mechanical weed control, reducing tractor passes through the vineyard, and planting hedgerows to encourage biodiversity. Particular attention is paid to lowering sulphite levels in the wines, as well as choosing eco-responsible dry goods, such as corks from sustainably managed forests, recycled paper labels printed with water-based inks, lightweight glass bottles, and recyclable capsules made without solvents or plastics.

The vineyard (terroir)

Les Arromans Rosé
This rosé, made from 100% Cabernet Franc, is characterised by its freshness, lightness, and roundness, accompanied by fruity and floral notes.
Les Arromans Blanc
This white wine, under the AOC Entre-Deux-Mers appellation, displays a balanced aromatic palette with floral and fruity notes, delivering an expressive and harmonious character.
Cuvée Prestige
This red cuvée, crafted from 100% Merlot, is described as oaky and enticing, showing jammy fruit aromas along with a rich and harmonious structure.
The estate has also developed a range of wines with no added sulphur, introducing a new cuvée in 2020 and a Pet Nat Rosé in 2022.
Vinification and ageing
Vinification without sulphiting is carried out to preserve the fruit, deep colour, and silky tannins of the wines. Ageing of certain white wines takes place on fine lees for three months following low-temperature fermentation.
