Identity

Château Péby Faugères is situated in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse in the Gironde. It is owned by Vignobles Silvio Denz. Estate management is led by Vincent Cruège, with oenological consultancy provided by Michel Rolland and the cellar master role held by Emma Bouty.

History and philosophy

The Péby Faugères cuvée was created in 1998 by Corinne Guisez. The name of the château pays tribute to the creator's husband, Pierre-Bernard Guisez. Originally part of Château Faugères, the cuvée was established as a separate entity in 2012. The estate was promoted to Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion in 2012, a classification confirmed in 2022.

Château Péby Faugères began its conversion to organic viticulture in 2017, achieving Agriculture Biologique certification in 2020 for the 2020 vintage. The estate also holds Haute Valeur Environnementale certification.

A new cellar, designed by architect Mario Botta, was inaugurated for the 2021 harvest.
