The Vineyard (Terroir)

The Château Petit Val vineyard covers an area of 12 hectares. The soils consist of sandy-clay and clay-limestone. Horse-drawn ploughing is practised on some of the estate's hillside slopes. The grape varieties planted include Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The estate also lists Riesling among its varieties.

Flagship Cuvées

The estate offers several cuvées, including Château Petit Val and Orfèvre du Val. A cuvée named Château Petit Val Rose du Val is also produced.

Vinification and Ageing

Harvesting is carried out by hand with meticulous sorting. Wine ageing takes place in oak barrels. Selected cuvées benefit from a diversified ageing process in clay jars, oak casks, and wineglobes.
