History and philosophy

The estate is committed to an environmentally friendly approach, having begun its conversion to organic viticulture in 2021. Adherence to organic viticulture standards is being implemented progressively. The property is also certified HVE3.

The vineyard (terroir)

The vineyard covers a surface area of 50 hectares. It is established on the highest hillsides in the Gironde, close to Saint-Émilion. The main red grape variety grown is Merlot.

Signature cuvées

Among the wines crafted by Château Puyfromage is the CHÂTEAU PUYFROMAGE Albert Signature cuvée. Another notable bottling is Amphore de Puyfromage.

Vinification and ageing

Certain wines from the estate are aged in oak barrels, with one-third new oak.
