Château Tifayne is a winegrowing estate located in the commune of Puisseguin. The property is owned by Vignobles Limbosch-Zavagli, a couple of agricultural engineers.
History and philosophy
The current owners settled at Château Tifayne in December 1997. They took over the estate that same year, having arrived in France in 1989. The château's main building dates back to the 12th and 14th centuries.
Appellations
Château Tifayne produces wines under the Francs-Côtes-de-Bordeaux appellation, also known as Francs Côtes de Bordeaux.
Winemaking and ageing
Ageing for Château Lalande De Tifayne takes place in vats. For the dry white wines, ageing combines Bordeaux oak barrels and stainless steel vats.

Flagship cuvées

Château Lalande De Tifayne is a still red wine. Production for the Château Lalande De Tifayne cuvée stood at 6,000 bottles for the 1998 vintage.
The estate's dry white wine, crafted from 100% Muscadelle, displays aromas of lemon, grapefruit, white flowers, and mineral notes. This wine is characterised by roundness and complexity. It is best served between 10 and 12 °C and can be cellared for 1 to 5 years.
Crémant Tifayne is a sparkling white wine.
