Identity
Château Saint-Grégoire is situated in the commune of Prignac-en-Médoc, in the Gironde. It is managed by Eva, Grégory, and Ingrid, with Grégory representing the fourth generation of winegrowers in his family.
History and philosophy
The history of this family-run estate spans several generations. In 1999, Grégory de Fournas began his venture with 1.80 hectares of vines, whose yield was initially vinified at a cooperative cellar. Ingrid subsequently acquired an additional 4.75 hectares of vines. By 2009, the vineyard extended across some twenty hectares. The decision to craft their own wines led Ingrid and Grégory to build their own cellar in 2012. The first vintage of Château Saint-Grégoire was produced in 2015. The estate is committed to an environmentally conscious approach, avoiding all CMR-classified (carcinogenic) products and managing over 50% of its soils without chemical weed control. It achieved Level 3 Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification in 2019.
Appellations
Château Saint-Grégoire produces wines under the Médoc Appellation d'Origine Protégée. A Crémant was also crafted in 2022.

The vineyard (terroir)
The Château Saint-Grégoire vineyard covers an area of 22 hectares. The estate's soils consist of clay-limestone and clay-loam parcels. The former are renowned for yielding dense, powerful, and fresh wines, whilst the latter contribute to concentrated wines with ripe fruit aromas and a velvety palate. Signature cuvées

Vinification and ageing
The estate has its own cellar, built in 2012, allowing the team to oversee the entire vinification and ageing process of its wines. A Crémant was also crafted in 2022, requiring techniques specific to this style of wine.

La Fête de la Gerbaude Terra Hominis 2026
Terra Hominis organise la Fête de la Gerbaude les 24 et 25 octobre 2026 dans le Bordelais, un événement convivial destiné aux associés et passionnés de vin. Le programme inclut des déjeuners vignerons, des ateliers immersifs dans les vignes et une grande soirée festive aux Halles Boca de Bordeaux. Les participants seront accueillis sur deux sites hôtes : les Vignobles Reynaud (AOP Graves) et le Domaine Grand Jour (Premières Côtes de Bordeaux). Le samedi 24 octobre, les Vignobles Reynaud accueilleront également les Vignobles Paillé (Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Lalande-de-Pomerol, Montagne Saint-Émilion) et le Château Jaron (Bordeaux Supérieur). Le Domaine Grand Jour recevra le Château Saint-Grégoire (Médoc) et le Château Tour des Graves (Côtes de Bourg). La soirée aux Halles Boca verra la participation de ces domaines, ainsi que du Domaine des Quarres, du Domaine La Maurine et du Domaine Angel Montgros. Le dimanche 25 octobre sera marqué par un déjeuner de clôture préparé par Clément Maynadier, associé Terra Hominis aux Vignobles Reynaud, mettant en avant les produits de la mer et les vins blancs et rosés des Vignobles Reynaud (Château des Places). En prolongement, le lundi 26 octobre, Rémi Lamerat du Domaine Grand Jour inaugurera les Fêtes de la Pleine Lune. Cet événement est une occasion d'échanger avec les vignerons, de déguster leurs cuvées et de découvrir leurs terroirs dans une ambiance chaleureuse.
