Château Sénailhac is a winegrowing estate located in the commune of Tresses, in Gironde. The operating company is SCA Château Sénailhac, owned by Zhao Wei via the MRS.V group. Château Sénailhac operates as an estate winegrower and producer.

History and philosophy

The château, which dates back to the 18th century, has had several owners over time. In 2000, the estate was acquired by the GVG group, before changing hands in 2011. Since 2020, Château Sénailhac has been part of the MRS.V group, founded that same year by Zhao Wei. The group also owns other properties, notably Château Monlot, Château La Croix de Roche and Château La Vue.

The wines produced at Château Sénailhac are crafted under the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation.

Practical information

Château Sénailhac is located at 8 Avenue de Sénailhac, 33370 Tresses, about 15 minutes from Bordeaux. Wine tourism services are offered, including vineyard tours, tastings, and direct sales at the property. The château has also provided guest rooms since 2009, featuring two suites and upstairs bedrooms. Both corporate events (seminars, gala dinners, cocktail receptions, conferences) and private functions (weddings) can be hosted on site. Visitors can be welcomed in French, English, Chinese and Spanish.

The vineyard (terroir)

The Château Sénailhac vineyard covers an area of 50 hectares. It is planted on clay-limestone soils, typical of its setting. The estate is situated on an Entre-deux-Mers hillside, close to Bordeaux.

Signature cuvées

Among the estate's wines is the cuvée "Excellence de Château Sénailhac". Approximately 20,000 bottles of this cuvée are produced each year. It is best served at a temperature of 16 °C.
