History and philosophy
The Portet family has run Château Tayac for several generations. The current owners, Corinne and Alain Roses, acquired the property in 2004. The estate is housed in a former 19th-century coaching inn.
Château Tayac implements the Cousinié method across its viticulture, an approach adopted some twenty years ago. This method is complemented by canopy management practices such as leaf-stripping and green harvesting.

The parcels of Château Tayac are located within the Margaux appellation area, and the estate also produces wines under the Médoc appellation.
