History and philosophy

The vineyard was established in 1995. Since its inception, the estate has been dedicated to producing a diverse range of wine styles.

Appellations

The parcels of Domaine de la Châtaigneraie are situated in the canton of Fronsac. The estate produces wines under the Bordeaux Supérieur and Bordeaux appellations, alongside wines classified as Vin de France.

Winemaking and ageing

The estate also produces white and rosé traditional-method sparkling wines.

The vineyard (terroir)

Domaine de la Châtaigneraie spans a total surface area of 20 hectares, of which 15 hectares are planted with vines, with 10 hectares currently in production. The terroir consists of white clay mixed with flint.

Domaine de la Châtaigneraie offers a selection of wines that includes fruit-forward and age-worthy red wines, richly aromatic rosé and white wines, as well as sparkling wines crafted using the traditional method.
