The vineyard (terroir)

The vineyard covers an area of 7 hectares, of which 6.8 hectares are planted with red grape varieties. The plots, planted between the 1960s and 1990s, are situated on the Puisseguin plateau. The soils are clay-limestone, characterised by a limestone plateau and a small valley of blue clay. The grape varieties consist of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The average vine age is approximately 60 years. Viticultural practices include under-vine soil management limited to the strip directly beneath the vines. Harvesting is carried out both by hand and mechanically. The estate is farmed under a tenancy agreement with the Terre de Liens association.
