History and philosophy

The history of Domaine du Rouyet dates back to 1830. Following the Second World War, the property was purchased by Henri Landès. His son, Georges Landès, subsequently developed the estate. In 1991, Stéphane Etourneaud, Georges Landès's great-nephew, settled at the property and established SCEA du Domaine du Rouyet in partnership with Georges Landès. Mathieu Etourneaud later took over the reins from Stéphane Etourneaud.

The estate has carried out several modernisations, including extending the winery, installing temperature-controlled vats, and acquiring a pneumatic press. A selective harvest sorting system has been in place since 2013. Domaine du Rouyet holds Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification.
