Identity
Domaine Uchida is run by Osamu Uchida, supported by Rie Uchida. The estate is located in Pauillac, in the Gironde département.
History and Philosophy
Osamu Uchida arrived in the Bordeaux region in 1999. After studying viticulture and oenology in 2001, he obtained his Diplôme Universitaire d'Aptitude à la Dégustation (DUAD) in 2006. Drawing on his extensive experience, notably as an instructor at the École du Vin de Bordeaux, he returned to the Bordeaux area in 2010.
The Domaine Uchida project began with the acquisition of 0.6 hectares of vines in Cussac. In 2015, Osamu Uchida moved to Pauillac, marking a new chapter for the estate, which is committed to conversion to organic and biodynamic viticulture.
