Château Cazeau dates back to the 16th century. The estate is set around an 18th-century chartreuse-style manor house. The property was acquired by its current owner, Michel Martin, in 1975.

Château Cazeau crafts wines across several appellations, including Bordeaux, Bordeaux Rosé, Entre-Deux-Mers, and Crémant de Bordeaux.
Signature wines
The estate produces a wide range of cuvées. Château Cazeau Rouge offers red wines that, in selected vintages, can be aged in oak barrels, such as the Cuvée Prestige or L'Excellence de Château Cazeau. Château Cazeau Blanc is also produced. For rosé styles, the estate crafts Château Cazeau Rosé and Château Cazeau Clairet. A sweet wine, Château Cazeau Moelleux, is also part of the portfolio. Sparkling wines are crafted under the names Château Cazeau Crémant Blanc and Château Cazeau Crémant Rosé.

The vineyard (terroir)
Château Cazeau's vineyard extends over 310 hectares. It is planted across the clay-limestone slopes of the Sauveterrois area, in the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers.
The grape varieties planted for the red wines comprise 40% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. For the white wines, the vineyard is planted with 50% Sauvignon, 40% Sémillon, and 10% Muscadelle. A dedicated 20-hectare parcel is reserved for the production of the Cuvée Prestige, crafted from equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
