History and Philosophy
The history of Château Clinet dates back to the early 17th century with vines already planted on the land, which was then owned by the de Gombault family. The property became exclusively dedicated to viticulture at the end of the 18th century. The Constant family owned it around 1800, followed by the Arnaud family in 1825. In 1908, the Audy family acquired the estate. Jean-Michel Arcaute managed the property in the 1980s, a period during which Michel Rolland also contributed as consulting oenologist. Ronan Laborde has owned the estate since 1999 and has directed operations since 2003.

Château Clinet produces wines under the Pomerol appellation. The estate also produces wines under the Bordeaux appellation.
Winemaking and Ageing
Vinification takes place in truncated oak vats. The wines undergo ageing in oak barrels for approximately 18 months, with 80% new oak. The estate produces around 45,000 bottles per year.
