Sébastien Ravilly, who arrived in 1999, serves as the estate's winemaker.
The estate is actively engaged in conversion to organic farming.

Histoire d'amour improbable au Château de Barbe Blanche
Le Château de Barbe Blanche, récente acquisition d'André Lurton et situé sur les hauteurs de Lussac Saint Emilion, a révélé une histoire inattendue. Des inscriptions et graffitis datant de 1918-1919 ont été découverts et authentifiés dans les carrières souterraines de calcaire du château. Ces marques, dont plusieurs indiquent « USA » ou « Okla », témoignent de la présence de soldats américains, surnommés « Sammies », blessés et soignés dans un hôpital de guerre local entre 1918 et 1919. Les recherches ont mis en lumière que ces carrières servaient de lieu de rencontre pour ces soldats et les jeunes femmes de la région, donnant naissance à des histoires d'amour franco-américaines. Une dizaine de mariages furent célébrés à Lussac, bien que beaucoup de ces relations se soient terminées avec le départ des soldats après la guerre. Inspirés par cette histoire romantique, les Vignobles André Lurton ont créé deux cuvées spéciales : « Cœur Perdu », un Cabernet Franc 100% en édition limitée (1200 bouteilles/an) en hommage aux amours laissées derrière, et « BB de Barbe Blanche », un vin soyeux et optimiste célébrant l'amour et l'amitié entre la France et les États-Unis.
