History and philosophy

The château itself dates back to the 17th century, having undergone various architectural evolutions up until the 19th century. Vignobles Lamont acquired the property in 2003, marking a new chapter for the estate. Committed to environmentally friendly viticultural practices, the estate has turned towards organic methods and achieved Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) Level 3 certification in 2018.

Château de l'Enclos produces wines under the Sainte-Foy Côtes de Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations. The estate's white wines are also crafted under the Sainte-Foy Côtes de Bordeaux appellation.

Winemaking and ageing

Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel and conical vats. Ageing is carried out either in vats or in French oak barrels for up to 12 months. Bottling is carried out at the château.

The red grape varieties comprise Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. White varieties, covering 2 hectares, consist of Sémillon and Sauvignon.
