Identity
Château de Parenchère is a winegrowing estate located on the easternmost edge of the Bordeaux region, close to Sainte-Foy-La Grande. It has been owned by Per Landin since January 2005. The estate's team consists of 12 employees, led by managing director Richard Curty and sales director Julia Gazaniol.
History and Philosophy
The origins of Château de Parenchère date back to 1570, established by Pierre de Parenchières. The current building was reconstructed in 1731. Over the centuries, the estate changed hands several times, belonging notably to the Governor of the Sainte Foy La Grande region around 1800 and to Général Subervie in 1856. The Gazaniol family acquired the property in 1958, before Per Landin took ownership in 2005. The estate is committed to environmentally friendly practices, following sustainable viticulture methods (Agriculture Raisonnée). It has been certified Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) Level 3 since 2012 and achieved organic certification in 2024.

Viticultural practices include alternating cover crops and soil tilling, minimising phytosanitary treatments, and strictly limiting the use of organic fertilisers.
Flagship Cuvées
Among the cuvées produced by the estate are Château de Parenchère Rouge, Château de Parenchère Bordeaux Clairet, Cuvée Raphaël, and the cuvée L'Équilibriste. The cuvée L'Équilibriste is distinguished by a predominance of Cabernet Franc and no added sulphites, crafted to deliver immediate drinking pleasure.
