The Gasparoux family first established themselves in Libourne in 1902 with Jean-Baptiste Gasparoux. Château Ferrand was acquired in 1934 by Fernand Gasparoux. In 1975, the family purchased vineyard parcels on the Pomerol plateau, giving rise to Château Haut Ferrand, and Henry Gasparoux took over the management of the estate in 1981. The cuvée La Fleur Ferrand was created in 2009. The estate benefits from Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification.
