The estate was established in 1847. From the early 20th century onwards, the property's wines enjoyed considerable acclaim. The Labuzan family has preserved this family tradition for seven generations.

The estate's parcels produce wines under the Graves, Bordeaux Supérieur, and Bordeaux appellations.
Winemaking and ageing
For certain cuvées, such as Château du Barrailh Cuvée Prestige, ageing may last twelve months in oak casks. Château des Gravières Gravéa benefits from eighteen months of ageing in new oak barrels.
