The vineyard (terroir)
The Château Plaisance vineyard spans an area of 23 hectares, with vines averaging around 20 years of age. The terroir is characterised by clay-silt soils. Cabernet Sauvignon is planted on sandy-gravel soils, whilst Merlot thrives on clay soils. The parcels benefit from southern exposure.
